Every year for Christmas eve, the kids get a special little package from the UPS man direct from Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson in Texas. They totally look forward to this for two reasons: First, it's the start of many other presents to be opened today and tomorrow. And Second, its their new Christmas jammies, which if you know anything about our kids, you know, it is their all time favorite thing to be in! (as you can tell in the before photo :))

Thank you Grandma Jackie! They are perfect and we LOVE them!

That afternoon, we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Kinghorn's. We have so much fun with all of our cousins. Tons of food and yummy treats and always too much munching!

A couple of rounds of Christmas Bingo-Thanks Lori

And introducing the new pipe chiming, ear tingling, Christmas carols. Actually a lot of fun, thanks to Wade and Lisa for making these this year. We should make a CD- I think we could give have Mannheim Steamroller some serious competition, and who wouldn't want to listen to that all through December to get you in the holiday mood?

Cousins all exchange gifts on Christmas eve. This year Tyler scored with more football cards for his collection.

The girls all got Disney princess dolls- a big hit!

Did I mention what a big hit the Princess dolls were?

Grandma and Grandpa opening what seems to be the winning lottery ticket.

This year my Grandma Mickelsen was able to come down and stay with mom and dad. It was so nice to have her down this year for Christmas. It was a great opportunity for my kids to spend some extra time with her and I also enjoyed the extra time visiting with her again.

Of course the night would not be complete without a little talent show of Christmas carols sung on the fireplace/stage. It's always fun to hear the songs they have practiced at school for their Christmas programs.

Landon and Emily shared the working elves song from their Preschool class.
I consider myself extremely blessed to have such a wonderful family who enjoy being together and live so close to each other to make that possible. I love playing games, sharing funny stories, and watching the crazy cousins teaching grandma how to Wii with the best of them. Always a fun night of memories for me and Ryan and our kids!
