Last of fall Soccer

Josh and his super cute soccer team! They have been so fun to watch. I say that a lot, but I have become a huge fan of soccer and this amazing little team. They are awesome!
I should post a collage of Josh and his tongue. We fear he may loose it in one of his games.
He's got some mad skills. Fall soccer is the best. Our weather was great this year. Now onto our futsal season...

Josh's Soccer

Josh is playing for the Rangers again this year. He is playing on two different teams this time; his academy team and an x-league team. They are having a lot of fun and are so dang cute to watch. We are only half way through the season, and with the colder weather approaching, I have a feeling it will be true fall freezing soccer soon!

Back to School!

We are excited for school to start.  I will definately miss the sleeping in, the anytime babysitters and the awesome helpers but we are all excited to get back in the swing of things! This is the last year these three get to walk to school together. It makes me sad to see them all growing up so fast!
Tyler starts 6th grade this year and is excited to finally be the oldest! Tyler also starts the year as the second tallest kid in school. He is growing up so fast and will probably pass me in height this year!
Josh is starting 3rd grade, which is the "biggest-of -the-lower-grades". He has a brand new teacher who is awesome! Josh is going to have a blast this year. Plus, doesn't he look so much smarter with those glasses?
Emily starts 2nd grade this year. She is super lucky to follow Josh through school. She loves her teacher and is so excited to have a few friends in her class. Good thing she has been working on her speed this summer, we don't want any boys catching this cutie at recess!
And... my cute Lucy starts preschool again at the "Apple school." She loves her new teacher and is looking forward to meeting new friends. At back to school night, her teacher told us she was excited to meet Lucy, she had heard so much about her from her previous teacher! They love Lucy at school. I only wish I could be the fly on the wall watching her!
Nate kept telling me it was his turn! I love the couple hours a day I get with JUST Nate. He is such a fun boy with so much personality! The things he says keeps me laughing all day!

We are so fortunate to be going back to a great school, with great teachers and great friends! I'm excited for this year. At our back to school dinner the kids all made goals for the upcoming year. I am proud of the things they are trying. We talked about our "I Betcha Can" attitudes while drinking our IBC's and enjoying the families favorite dinner: grilled brats, watermelon and smores!

Josh's Soccer

Josh has been playing soccer with the Rangers Academy this past year and has loved it. He is becoming quite the little soccer player. His team placed second in the play off's this year. What an intense game! Josh's coaches like to play the kids in all positions but if Josh had it his way he would play left defender. He is quick at getting the ball out and has a sixth sense for where the ball is going to be. We have loved watching the past season and are excited to find out what next year will bring.

Josh's 1st Pine Wood Derby

Josh joins scouts just in time for the Pine Wood Derby. Little do the boys in his pack know that Josh has an Uncle Wade who can do amazing things with wood. Josh designed his car and headed down to Wade's House. They spent the afternoon carving, sanding, painting and assembling. Josh had a blast using all of his tools. The best part he said was picking out the colors and airbrushing his car.
Everybody was so impressed with his car. It was awesome. His car won one of the heats and won best of show for the night. Josh is already thinking up plans for next year!

Josh's Baptism

A special day for our family. Josh was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, something he has been preparing for for awhile. He was very excited to share this special day with all of his family. The sign at the church made us laugh a little. Apparently another Josh and Emily were being baptized after us! Jake, Alexa and Alivia all live on our street so it was fun to have them all baptized together. One of my favorite parts of the day was when my nephew Austin gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. Our family had been assigned this part of the program and Josh knew exactly who he wanted to give the talk. Thankfully, Austin agreed. He is one of the Deacons in his ward and gave the perfect talk for the baptism. After the baptism Josh wanted to have everyone come over for Zuppa style lunch: soups, salads and ultimate grilled cheese with "the special green sauce." A yummy pick!

Tyler and Josh's Birthday Party

The best part of having the boy's with birthday's so close is sharing a party with all of our cousins at Classic Skate. Our family runs hard all night long. There is nothing better then sweaty, sleep kids hyped up on pizza and soda exhausted at the end of the night!
Some highlights of the night:
*Great Grandma Kinghorn able to come.
*Pizza, Pizza, Pizza
*Josh and Emily skating together.
*Roller dancing/scooters with the fog and strobe lights.
*Watching the Roller Derby chicks!
*Wade and Emily couples pick around the rink.
*Nate and Mom cruising the scooter.
*Racing up and down the inflatable slides.
*Matthew coming in 3rd place against all the Jr. High kids in the scooter derby. He's kind of a professional.
*Blast zone tournaments
*Laser Tag Wars
*Finally a long board for Josh!
